THE CHEAP THRILLER /////

Sometimes in life you get the chance to work with people whose talents truly inspire you to step up your game; kinda like that year I was a prostitute in Berlin. Recently we’ve had the good fortune to work on a couple different projects with comedian Jon Friedman, and we couldn’t be more in awe of his talent. Jon is one of those genuinely nice guys whose soft spoken demeanor almost makes you forget that he is an accomplished writer, producer and Emmy winner. Yeah, those Emmys.

Among others things, Jon is well known for his live comedy show, The Rejection Show, which takes material from amateur writers, comedians and other artists that was turned down or rejected in some manner, then rehashes the experience live on stage. If they did this for dating, I could do a whole series on my high school years. Jon parlayed the success of the show into a book, which received rave reviews from the NY Times, Oprah Magazine and even one of my personal heroes Dennis Miller.

The Rejection Show has it’s next performance at the UCB Theater in NYC on Aug. 17th and I highly suggest you attend if you’re in the area. For those of you outside the city, check out this amazing video of Jon narrating the time he dressed up in a chicken suit, went to the park and almost became a pedophile. 5:38-5:48 made me laugh so hard I farted.
